EtO sterilization is still used for a majority of medical devices but due to a number of environmental and health concerns, the method has faced backlash in recent years. As such, medical device manufacturers are exploring potential aternatives for their new products in development. In this interview from the 2021 MPO Summit, Jeff Sauter, Director of Business Development at Steri-Tek, offers his own perspectives on the approach companies should take when considering sterilization of their device and why EtO alternatives could be a favorable option.
