A final look at a number of the sights seen at this year's event.
Before leaving Germany, Associate Editor Sam Brusco gets in a core workout in the physiotherapy sections in Halls 4 and 5. Here he tries out a gamification solution from Icaros that leverages a workout system with a VR headset to allow a user to challenge themselves. You can see what Sam saw through the googles in the screen at the upper left.
While the exhibit space and number of things to see seems to grow each year at Medica, the technology itself continues to shrink in size. Large booths serve as host to devices that are being made portable, mobile, wearable, or implantable.
Companies supporting the drive toward automation and robotics within the manufacturing space could be seen throughout the halls of Compamed. From individual elements to full solutions, device companies could easily find the technologies to suit their specific needs.
Emergency medical supplies and technologies were a focus area for a number of exhibitors at Medica. And the devices used inside of the ambulances or by the EMTs weren’t the only solutions on display but rather…
…The actual emergency vehicles themselves too. Out in the middle of the halls, one could find a variety of ambulances and speak with the companies who supply these transportation innovations.
