Firstronic LLC, an electronic manufacturing services (EMS) company in Grand Rapids, Mich., has named John Sammut as CEO.
Sammut brings career experience in the EMS industry, having served as the president and CEO of EPIC Technologies for nearly 10 years. Under his leadership, EPIC and its predecessor company, CCI, grew from approximately $3 million in annual revenue to nearly $300 million. In 2006, Sammut received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Technology in the Midwest region, based upon EPIC’s track record of success under his tenure.
Firstronic’s former CEO, Peter Barclae, has been named chairman.
“I am confident that [Sammut] will bring the leadership necessary to take Firstronic to the next level as a successful mid-tier EMS provider,” said Barclae.
