Siemens AG has named Gregory Sorensen as CEO of Siemens Healthcare in the United States. Sorensen, who currently serves as a professor of radiology and health sciences and technology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass., will succeed interim CEO Randy Hill on June 1.
Sorensen will lead the marketing, sales, service and support functions across the company’s healthcare portfolio in the United States, including medical imaging, therapy, healthcare information technology and laboratory diagnostics. In addition, he will oversee Canadian activities.
Sorensen, who also is a practicing neuroradiologist and active researcher with experience in clinical care, clinical trials and translational research, will be based at Siemens’ U.S. headquarters in Malvern, Pa.
