A new company, Tube Hollows International, has recently been launched to provide the tubing industries with precision, seamless tube hollows, for medical and commercial applications.
This new company was created from a portion of Dearborn Precision Tubular Products Inc., based in Fryeburg, Maine. After separating out parts of the business and creating the name Tube Hollows International, the rest of Dearborn Precision was sold to Hunting International Ltd.
The new company, according to management, is "designed to offer existing and new customers better order fulfillment and to concentrate solely on drilling tube hollows, tubular devices and components."
THI’s General Manager Dave Morse, previously facilities and deep hole production manager at Dearborn, said: "As with any company that experiences the rate of growth we have over the past several years, adjustments need to be made to meet the needs of our customer base and the markets we wish to service. Developing a new company allows us to focus solely on those industries in which our deep hole drilling expertise is best utilized. We consider it a wise and progressive business decision leading to even better fulfillment of our customer’s tube hollows and tubular components needs.”
According to Scott McKinney, THI’s marketing manager, the new organization will offer "leaner operations, focused administration, and lower costs," adding that the company is "committed to being an international presence in the precision, uniform wall seamless tubing marketplace.”
The Tube Hollows International management team is:
• GM, Dave Morse, with over 15 years experience managing the deep-hole-drilling departments and facilities at Dearborn Precision;
• Marketing manager, Scott McKinney, who has 20 years as Dearborn's tube product customers’ representative;
• Sales manager, Dave Smith, with more than 20 years of sales and supervisory experience within the deep-hole-drilling sector of Dearborn Precision;
• Quality manager, Jim Pittman, , with more than 10 years of technical and managerial experience; and
• Todd Humphrey, chief financial officer and business manager.
"All of the positive things our customers expect from us will only get better," said Smith. "This venture allows us to provide the highest quality and precision using the same equipment, processes and personnel, but with a singular focus on the tube hollow industry.”
