PTI Engineered Plastics, based in Macomb, Mich., a provider of tooling and injection molding, was honored as a “Top 100” company in Michigan. The recognition was based on employee feedback in a survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics on behalf of the Detroit Free Press newspaper.
This is PTI’s second nomination and their first win in this category of midsize (150 to 499 employees) companies. Surveys were completed by employees throughout Michigan where employees rated their company based on: Direction, Conditions, Execution, Career, Managers, and Pay and Benefits.
“It was an honor to be nominated for the last two years, but especially gratifying to make the list this year,” said Kurt Nerva, president of PTI. “We value our employees and strive to provide them with a positive, motivating environment.”
In addition to the “Top 100 Workplace” tribute, PTI was featured earlier this year on "Today in America with Terry Bradshaw." The television show spotlights positive stories of American manufacturing businesses that have been successful despite the negative downturns in the global economy.
PTI's 115,000-square-foot facility serves the medical, transportation, defense, aerospace, electronics, and consumer products industries. The company offers design, engineering, tooling, and low- and high-volume production with a specialty in complex injection molded components.
