MPO Summit 2006:
A Quality Event
Latest Industry Gathering to Present Strategies on Maintaining
the Highest Standards in Medical Device Manufacturing
Ask any medical device professional what issue keeps him or her awake at night, and it will most likely be quality systems. Other headache-inducing subjects include FDA regulatory compliance, offshore outsourcing and how to ensure more effective outsourcing practices. As OEMs hand off ever-increasing responsibility to their outsourcing partners, these types of issues become even more important. Therefore, it is fitting that the next MPO Summit will focus on all of these topics when the industry gathers on Sept. 25-26 at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights/ Meadowlands Hotel & Conference Center in New Jersey.

Sponsored by Medical Product Outsourcing, the event will draw attendees from a wide variety of medical device enterprises. These individuals will benefit from the knowledge imparted by speakers from leading companies such as Stryker Orthopaedics, CR Bard and Becton, Dickinson and Company. Case histories, best practices and practical implementation strategies all will be shared with attendees. Building on the success of the West Coast MPO Summit last April, one of the most highly anticipated events is an interactive panel discussion featuring industry leaders, who will discuss quality issues in medical device manufacturing (see following pages for a complete program).
Along with an array of informative conference sessions, the MPO Summit will feature the latest offerings from a variety of exhibitors, offering both attendees and exhibitors an opportunity to gather and network in one central location.
The Summit begins on the 25th with a cocktail reception for attendees and exhibitors, followed by a full day of presentations and exhibitions (not to mention a champagne reception) on the 26th.
This event has gained widespread support from leading medical device organizations including Norman Noble (Elite Sponsor), Avail (Platinum Sponsor), Memry and B. Braun (Gold Sponsors); in addition, the event is endorsed by the Medical Device Manufacturers Association and supported by MPO’s media partners, Medical Design Technology and DeviceMed.
“Since its inception, the MPO Summit has become the must-attend event for anyone involved in outsourcing today,” said MPO Publisher Howard Revitch. “The latest event should be no exception, as it will offer insights from the best and brightest in the medical device industry while providing a top-notch forum for networking.”
