Philips has launched its Philips Image Guided Therapy Mobile C-arm System 1000 – Zenition 10, a new addition to the company’s Zenition mobile C-arm series.
Zenition 10, according to the company, helps expand access to routine surgical care and minimally invasive procedures.
“Philips Zenition mobile C-arms have long been recognized for their high-quality imaging and efficiency-enhancing performance. With the introduction of Zenition 10, we are making those benefits available on a C-arm that meets the wide-ranging needs of routine open and minimally invasive surgery, allowing more patients in more parts of the world to receive the high-quality care,” Mark Stoffels, GM, Image Guided Therapy Systems at Philips told the press.
Zenition 10 is a cost-effective solution for routine surgery and flexible enough to meet the demands of orthopedics, trauma, and other areas of surgery. It has improved C-arm maneuverability, application-specific protocols, and personalized user profiles.
Philips said Zenition 10 supports a quick learning curve and can reduce operating staff’s training time. The system also touts a low-dose pediatric mode. An uninterruptable power supply means the unit can be moved from one OR to another without needing to reboot the system. Additionally, Philips BodySmart facilitates dose efficiency via automatic adaptation of the measuring field to the area of interest.
Philips MetalSmart software automatically enhances image quality and dose efficiency for images of patients with metal implants. The system’s digital subtraction angiography capability also allows clear imaging of vasculatures to further boost the range of surgical procedures facilitated.
