TriMedika's flagship thermometer will take center stage at the company's MEDICA booth this week.
TRITEMP is a medically graded professional non-contact thermometer—CE marked and manufactured in Europe—designed to positively impact patient care and control infection across healthcare globally. Although there was a clear need for the product before the pandemic, the COVID-19 crisis has further highlighted the infection risks associated with contact.
TriMedika currently supplies TRITEMP to hospitals in 21 countries and plans to enter the U.S. market.
“There have been very few developments within the thermometry industry for many years. So, we set about designing a non-contact infrared thermometer, accurate and robust enough to stand up to use in busy hospital wards," TriMedika CEO Dr. Roisin Molloy said. "The benefits in terms of infection control and improved patient comfort are significant.”
TRITEMP is the thermometer of choice for hospitals, according to the company, many of which are now mandating non-contact for all clinical wards to advance their infection control strategies, reduce costs, introduce process efficiency gains and improve patient outcomes from the outset.
More than 1,000 hospitals globally, including specialist units such as neonatal wards and ICU’s, have switched to TRITEMP. By introducing TRITEMP hospitals can gain many benefits across staffing, workflows and costs.
This year at MEDICA, Molloy will discuss sustainability in the healthcare technology sector. Her presentation, "How can the HealthTech industry can become a pioneer when it comes to sustainability?" will cover a number of key areas, including: non- waste generating devices, cost sustainability vs. consumable model, plastic consumables and infection control, and the importance of collaboration with robust and quality manufacturers.
Molloy’s presentation will take place on the "U.K. Presentation Theatre," located on the ABHI & DIT U.K. Pavilion in Hall 16 Stand J42.
Founded in 2016, TriMedika manufactures accurate clinical devices for hospitals worldwide. Inspired by first-hand experience of the challenges of healthcare and applying fresh thinking to solve simple but critical everyday issues, the company’s vision is to improve patient care globally with technology that safeguards patients and carers.
