Trelleborg Healthcare & Medical has promoted Philipp Begert to senior project director.
In his new role, Begert will focus on a new product development process across the business unit and further promote the Rapid Development Center and tooling innovation. Begert has an acute understanding of the injection molding process for liquid silicone rubber, and the transfer of 2K and 3K molding techniques.
"Philipp will advance the team to accelerate customers time to market with ultramodern tooling which helps reduce overall manufacturing costs. We are excited to have him join our team,” said Linda Muroski, president of Healthcare & Medical, Marketing Americas.
Before transitioning to Healthcare & Medical, Begert updated the technologies at Trelleborg’s Stein am Rhein facility in Switzerland. He previously worked as a technical integration manager for Silcotech North America Inc. in Ontario, Canada.
Begert earned a degree in plastics technology from BWZ Rapperswil in Switzerland.
