Engineered materials and thermal management firm Boyd Corporation acquired MBK Tape Solutions, a manufacturer and developer of complex multi-layered adhesives that bound, mount, monitor, and protect medical stick-to-skin applications.
The deal boosts Boyd’s material science portfolio in advanced wound care, transdermal patches, and biosensors.

MBK’s customers gain Boyd’s global reach and engineering services.
“MBK’s strong reputation and deep knowledge of medical grade materials and skin contact adhesives will help us scale even more quickly and reliably to serve a growing medical industry experiencing rapid evolution of care and technology,” said Boyd chief commercial officer Michael Sutsko.
