Quasar Medical Devices LLC is pleased to announce the expansion of our North American Commercial Headquarters in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This expansion strengthens Quasar’s global presence, allowing for a continued focus on supporting North American customers. Located in one of the key medical device clusters, Quasar Medical Devices USA will bring additional commercial support to existing customers through new sales, business development and commercial staff.

In support of the expanded North American commercial operations, Quasar is pleased to announce the hiring of the following key personnel.
Alex Denogean joins Quasar as vice president of business development with more than 30 years of medical device experience, having served in leadership roles at Baxter, Medtronic, Honeywell, Raydiance, Ametec and several privately held medical device design and contract manufacturing firms. Denogean will lead the sales, business development and technical support based in Minneapolis, MN.
Jyrki Calderon Larjanko joins Quasar as the North American director of key accounts and business development based in San Diego, CA. Larjanko brings over 25 years of global medical device and industrial machining sector experience, having held various management roles including manufacturing management, technical services, sales and business development. Prior to joining Quasar, Larjanko held several management positions of increasing responsibility at Johnson Matthey’s medical business unit. Larjanko will lead onsite sales and business development support for Quasar’s strategic customers.
Sam Chaoui Ph.D., MEM, PE, joins Quasar as principal application engineer. He brings over 35 years expertise in many medical fields such as Respiratory Care, Orthopedics and Ophthalmology. Dr. Chaoui held many progressive management roles at Bear Medical, Care Fusion, BD, Alcon, Össur and Salter Labs. He held positions in R&D, Regulatory, Quality and FDA support roles. Dr. Chaoui holds many patents and is often sought after as a medical device SME. He will provide technical support for all BD customers and strategic accounts from his base at Riverside, CA.
In addition to Quasar North America’s direct staff, Dennis Olson continues to support Quasar as an independent and well-established industry representative based in Minneapolis, MN. He brings over 23 years medical device experience having worked for Microvena, Accellent, Tegra, Cretex and CarTika in roles from R&D, Clinical, Sales and Operations. Dennis is a veteran of United States Air Force.
Quasar’s Israeli operations (QIL) headed by David Ben Shitrit, global NPD and technologies director, will continue to support all global business development efforts. This ensures the development process follows a seamless product lifecycle while remaining customer centric.
