Abbott Laboratories has appointed Robert E. Funck, Jr. (58) as executive VP and CFO, effective March 1. He will be replacing former executive VP and CFO Brian B. Yoor, who had announced his retirement from the company on January 3.
Funck, Jr. has been an Abbott employee since 1987. He became a corporate officer in 2005, beginning as a VP and treasurer. From 2007 to 2009 he served as VP of internal audit, and from 2009 to 2013 he was promoted to VP, chief ethics and compliance officer. From 2013 to 2018 he was VP and controller, and became senior VP, finance and controller in 2018.
Yoor is the second Abbott executive that will be departing early this year. In November, Abbott CEO Miles D. White announced his retirement for March 31. He will be replaced by Robert B. Ford, currently the company’s president and COO.
