Medical Murray, a leading medical device development and contract manufacturing company, hosted an open house on October 24 highlighting the new 35,000 square foot facility located at 8531 Steele Creek Place Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The open house provided guests the opportunity to tour the facility and see Medical Murray’s new and existing capabilities for catheter fabrication, ePTFE processing, packaging, and much more. Key team members from Medical Murray and various suppliers from the Southeast attended, giving attendees the ability to discuss their latest device projects.
“I think the open house was a success and provided an excellent networking venue for both new and existing customers,” said Chris Steadham, General Manager of the new facility. “We look forward to continuing our support of complex catheters and permanent implants that improve the quality of life for patients.”
The expansion of Medical Murray’s facilities is an investment in the ever-growing life sciences community in the Southeast. The Greater Charlotte region is currently home to 80 companies in the medical device sector. Medical Murray is also collaborating with North Carolina Biotechnology Center to foster growth of the life sciences community in the region including biotechnology research, business, education, and strategic policy. Key personnel from NC Biotech also participated in the open house. To learn more about NC Biotech, please contact Corie Curtis at corie_curtis@ncbiotech.org.
