The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) has announced that Amanda Walsh has joined the association as its associate vice president for government affairs.
“We’re thrilled to have Amanda join the AdvaMed team and help shape our advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill,” said Greg Crist, chief advocacy officer and head of External Affairs at AdvaMed. “Amanda’s impressive experience in the health care policy arena will bring immeasurable value to AdvaMed as we work to improve access to innovative medical technology in the U.S. and around the world.”
Walsh is a former senior manager of legislative affairs—and served as the interim director of legislative affairs— at America’s Essential Hospitals, a leading association for hospitals and health systems. Previously, Walsh worked for former U.S. Rep. Richard Hanna and former Senator David Vitter.
Walsh has a bachelor of arts degree from James Madison University and a J.D. from the University of District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.
The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), is a trade association that leads the effort to advance medical technology in order to achieve healthier lives and healthier economies around the world.
