Surmodics Inc., a provider of medical device and in-vitro diagnostic technologies to the healthcare industry, announced that Teri Sides has joined the company as senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

Teri has been an important contributor to our business, product and clinical strategy since 2011, including being a founding member of our SurVeil, Avess and Sundance drug-coated balloon development programs," said Gary Maharaj, president and CEO of Surmodics. Sides is an industry veteran, bringing over 27 years of medtech and healthcare experience. Prior to joining Surmodics, Sides served as founder and CEO of Projectory, a consulting firm that provides strategic marketing services to med tech clients, ranging from startups to global businesses. Prior to Projectory, Sides was the vice president of Marketing and Product Development for Arizant Inc. Acting as the chief architect for product and market growth strategies, Sides led development of industry-leading products, including the world’s first patient warming gown.
Sides has an MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. She has more than eight patents granted and several pending.
