Wytech Industries Inc., a manufacturer of medical wire and tubing components and assemblies, is purchasing Micro-Tube Fabricators, maker of precision fabricated tubular components for the medical device space and other industrial markets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The combined entities—including recently acquired Morton Bowen—will provide a broad spectrum of engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and value-added services to medical device OEMs that prefer total outsourcing solutions, according to Wytech executives.
With the addition of the Micro-Tube Fabricators manufacturing platform, technologies provided by Wytech now include wire straightening/cutting, precision grinding, wire/tube forming, laser machining, EDM, Swiss CNC machining, coatings/coating removal, heat treating, secondary operations, and more for both wire and tubing components and assemblies.
Micro-Tube Fabricators will continue to operate and employ 65 people from of its 24,000-square-foot facility in Middlesex, N.J. Wytech is located in nearby Rahway, N.J.
