Pilgrim Quality Solutions, a global provider of enterprise quality management software and services for the life sciences industry, announced the addition of enterprise and supply chain veteran Larry Ferrere as senior vice president, product strategy and chief marketing officer. Additionally, the company announced that Pilgrim Vice President of Quality Assurance and Validation Konyika Nealy has expanded her role to also focus on enhanced education and training programs for both customers and employees.
Ferrere is responsible for the company’s product strategy and management as well as global marketing. He guides these functions as a member of the firm’s executive team by working with the Pilgrim team as well as Pilgrim prospects and customers.
“We’re excited to have Larry’s expertise and leadership to continue accelerating Pilgrim’s growth and momentum, with a focus on delivering maximum value to the customers we serve,” said Rick Lowrey, Pilgrim’s CEO. “Larry’s enterprise software background strengthens Pilgrim’s ability to deliver superior quality compliance solutions to support our global customers in their quality goals.”
Ferrere’s past cross-functional leadership experience has included roles at Andersen Software/Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), JDEdwards (now Oracle), Vastera/JPMorgan Chase (now Livingston), Manhattan Associates, JDA Software, and cloud-based LogFire, while also serving on the board of directors and advisory boards of NetRegulus (sold to PTC), Verian Technologies (sold to Basware), The Latin American Company, Outlook Marketing Services, and others.
“Larry is a proven veteran with more than 30 years of industry leadership, having served in executive roles to help transform and grow software technology companies,” said Michelle Noon, Pilgrim board chairwoman and partner at private equity firm Riverside Partners. “We are thrilled to have him join the executive team and to benefit from his thought leadership and day-to-day execution.”
Nealy leads Pilgrim’s quality assurance and validation organization that conducts product and release validation, customer audits, and the company’s overall industry compliance and certification processes. Her new responsibilities also include the expansion and evolution of Pilgrim’s training programs and deliverables to best educate customers, as well as Pilgrim employees, on industry and product innovations and capabilities.
“Konyika and her team play a pivotal role in our company and for our customers,” Lowrey said. “We validate all of our products and releases—something that differentiates Pilgrim from other solution providers in the market. We also strongly believe that quality and compliance success is rooted in education, and thus Pilgrim’s training organization is being expanded under Ms. Nealy to ensure that we are ‘ready to serve’ our customer in multiple ways upon new product releases and solution updates.”
