Northwood, Ohio-based NAMSA, the world’s leading medical research organization, is pleased to announce the addition of Microbiological Compliance Laboratories (MCL) as NAMSA’s local agent in Costa Rica.
MCL is a microbiology and sterility assurance lab supporting US and European medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in the region. MCL provides local microbiology and endotoxin testing, monitoring of controlled environments and water systems, and sterilization validation support, as well as related consulting and training services.
“This strategic alliance will provide the medical device and pharmaceutical industries in Costa Rica access to services that were previously unavailable,” said Jason Hoffbeck, president of MCL. “MCL’s local personnel and lab structures together with NAMSA’s global capabilities will provide the right technical expertise in sterilization, microbiology, and biocompatibility to help customers develop the best testing strategies for global regulatory requirements. We are excited for this opportunity to offer broader services in a more convenient and cost effective manner.”
“The alliance with MCL as a representing agent in Costa Rica demonstrates NAMSA’s commitment to global growth of service offerings and support for our clients around the world,” said John Amat, NAMSA’s chief commercial officer. “Their regional testing expertise provides our clients access to their knowledge and network, something that other CRO’s cannot.”
