“We created this name to better communicate our approach to helping people with kidney disease thrive and continue doing the things that matter most to them,” said William Valle, executive vice president of FMCNA and president of Fresenius Kidney Care. “We do this by providing personalized care, support, and resources to help people lead more meaningful and fulfilled lives.”
Along with the name change, Fresenius Kidney Care has launched a new, consumer-friendly website at www.freseniuskidneycare.com. The site offers educational materials and inspiring patient stories, with the information people most frequently seek: kidney disease treatment options, how to thrive on dialysis, guidance on eating well, recipes and more. The site also provides tailored information to people who are in various stages of kidney disease.
"At FMCNA, we are building a network to provide the full spectrum of care for the chronically ill, including those with renal disease,” said Ron Kuerbitz, CEO of Fresenius Medical Care North America. “The Fresenius Kidney Care name underscores the focus and attention that our caregivers provide to our patients’ unique health needs at more than 2,200 dialysis centers across the nation.”
Additionally, Fresenius Kidney Care debuted its social media channels on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to create a community and engaging content for people living with kidney disease.
“While Fresenius Kidney Care is the new name of our dialysis division, our culture of innovation and the clinical care we’ve provided to people with kidney disease for decades remains the same,” said Valle. “Our teams not only care for our patients’ physical needs, they also empower them to thrive on and live their healthiest, fullest lives possible.”
