The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared a wireless flat panel medical imaging detector from Kubtec.
The company's new 17-inch by 14-inch Digiview 395 detector is lightweight, durable and easy to use, matching the firm's imaging capabilities and rapid image acquisition and display with wireless freedom, according to executives. Designed for versatility and portability, the Digiview 395 can be used anywhere medical imaging is required.
The Digiview 395 features wireless data transmission, giving medical personnel immediate access to critical information for faster interpretation and diagnosis.
“Receiving FDA clearance for the Digiview 395 high resolution wireless, means radiology departments now have access to a tool that will aid them in delivering high quality critical care at the bedside, in the X-ray suite or ER—or even in the field for mass casualty situations,” said Tom Dziubeck, Kubtec’s director of North American sales.
The Digiview 395 made its world debut earlier this year and is available for commercial sale worldwide.
Kubtec, a registered trademark of KUB Technologies Inc., develops and manufactures digital X-ray systems for specimen radiography, low-dose neonatal imaging, scientific research, forensic analysis, non-destructive testing, irradiation and more. The company is based in Milford, Conn.
