Laguna Hills, Calif.-based Sonendo Inc., which makes endodontic technology, has named Bob Anthony its new vice president of operations. Anthony will be responsible for Sonendo’s supply chain, including purchasing, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, field support and facilities.
“We are excited to welcome Bob to Sonendo, as his experience in medical device manufacturing and end-to-end supply chain management will be integral as we ramp up manufacturing to support commercial demand for the Gentlewave system and other future technologies,” said Bjarne Bergheim, president and CEO of Sonendo.
Most recently, Anthony served as vice president, supply chain, for Masimo Corporation. Previously, he served as vice president of engineering and manufacturing at PhotoThera Inc., a start-up medical device company focused on noninvasive transcranial laser therapy. Prior to PhotoThera, Anthony served in numerous capacities including director of operations and manufacturing engineering at Guidant Corporation during a 17-year tenure. Throughout his 30-year career in the medical technology industry, Anthony has developed expertise in product development, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, distribution, technical support, and facilities to support clinical trials and commercial distribution throughout the world. He holds a B.S. in business administration from Saint Mary’s College and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
