Biomedical Polymers Inc. (BMP), a Gardner, Mass.-based manufacturer of plastic consumables for research and medical diagnostics laboratories, has received ISO 13485:2003 certification for its quality management system for the manufacture of medical devices.
In order to meet these requirements for certification, BMP upgraded its quality management system to assist in achieving increased efficiencies, higher performance, and reduced operational costs. ISO 13485:2003 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to provide medical devices and related services that consistently meet customers’ requirements as well as regulatory requirements applicable to medical devices.
“Earning this certification demonstrates our commitment to quality and enables us to expand our capabilities in the medical device marketplace,” said Wayne Miller, director of business development. “We are very proud of this achievement and our employees who continuously help ensure our customers receive the highest quality product.”
Biomedical Polymers has been in business for more than 30 years.
