Two facilities of Phillips-Medisize Corp.—the Design and Development Center in Hudson, Wis., and the Menomonie, Wis., medical plant—received the 2014 Wisconsin Corporate Safety Award.
“We are extremely proud of our safety and health accomplishments and more importantly of our people. Our focus on the behaviors that drive safety also helps drive improved product quality. This award substantiates the efforts of our outstanding people and the continuous improvement methods we have put in place,” said Matt Jennings, chairman and CEO. “We continue to make strides to become better and are honored to receive this award.”
Of the 80 companies that were selected as qualified finalists—by an independent panel of 33 safety, health and human resource professionals—14 companies received the award. Representatives from Phillips-Medisize were present at the 73rd annual Wisconsin Safety and Health Conference on April 21-22 in Wisconsin Dells to accept the awards.
