Shortly after opening its new design, development, and manufacturing facility in Minnesota, JunoPacific Inc. has completed the asset acquisition of Lawrence Tool and Engineering (LTE), an advanced tool design and fabrication firm specializing in high-volume medical device production. LTE has operated in the San Francisco Bay Area for more than 25 years fabricating tools for key medical industry segments including cardiology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, and molecular diagnostics as well as for applications ranging from disposables to implants and surgical instruments.
“LTE has excellent capabilities and a strong reputation for delivering elegant, highly-reliable solutions for complex medical device requirements,” said Kern Bhugra, president of JunoPacific. “It is great to add this production tooling capability to the strong foundation of medical device expertise at JunoPacific. We are also pleased that key LTE staff members have joined JunoPacific to ensure a seamless transition and LTE president and founder, Larry Jacks, will continue to provide tool engineering leadership.”
“LTE has successfully designed and fabricated many tools for JunoPacific for almost three decades and it is a pleasure to be able to continue to deliver those solutions from within the JunoPacific umbrella,” said Larry Jacks.
The tooling operation will be located in expanded facility space adjacent to the current JunoPacific site in Soquel, Calif.
