Resonetics has a new owner.
Boston, Mass.-based private-equity firm Sverica International has acquired Resonetics from New York, N.Y.-based equity group, Corporate Fuel Partners LLC.
Resonetics will maintain its headquarters in Nashua, N.H., and CEO Tom Burns and the current management team will remain in place, according to a statement issued by Resonetics.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Resonetics provides laser micromachining solutions to the life-sciences industry with a particular focus on polymers. The company supports its customers with a prototyping and process development center and a technical team of more than 30 engineers and scientists and 50 laser workstations of various technologies.
The company can create features as small as one micron, a fraction of a human hair, in a scalable and reproducible manner. The company also designs, builds and services purpose-built laser workstations to meet specific customer needs.
