After more than two years as a consultant to the Dedham, Mass.-based healthcare supplies company, Scott C. Lewis has been appointed CEO. The firm's founder, Julian Cherubini, will remain board chairman.
Lewis was the former president of Northstar Technologies, Inc., where he established the company as the leading manufacturer of GPS navigation equipment for the marine and aviation markets. In addition, he has served on various corporate boards, including the Allan Crawford Group of companies, Support Measures Inc. and Fleetpoint Ltd.
“I’m looking forward to building on the legacy of AliMed and developing the full potential of the excellent people who work there,” said Lewis.
“We are pleased to have Scott join the management team. His background as an engineer, CEO, and consultant uniquely define him as immediately able to guide the corporation through the swiftly changing landscapes of the markets we serve,” Cherubini added.
AliMed develops, manufactures, and distributes patient care, rehabilitation, orthopedic, operating room, diagnostic imaging, and ergonomic products. For more than 40 years, AliMed has served the hospital, long-term care, and rehabilitation markets with a number of specialty products.
