Atlanta, Ga.-based East West Manufacturing (EW) has added two divisions to its Vietnam operations. The company is an offshore product manufacturer for U.S. and European OEMs, and its Vietnam facilities are ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485: 2003 certified. Its new medical device contract manufacturing and electronic manufacturing services (EMS) divisions will be housed in the three-building complex in the Binh Duong province, immediately north of Ho Chi Minh City.
“We are focused on helping our U.S. and European based customers grow their business and are excited to strengthen our presence in Vietnam by adding medical device and electronic manufacturing services to our already diverse offerings,” said Scott Ellyson, CEO and co-founder of East West Manufacturing. “We can now do more for our customers in one place, which we believe will lead to even more cost savings and efficiencies, while opening up new manufacturing and sales opportunities for them.”
According to the company, its medical device contract manufacturing division has capabilities for injection; insert and over-molding; pad printing; ultra sonic welding; stampings; and complete assembly and packaging of finished goods. In particular, the division will make U.S. Food and Drug Administration-designated Class II devices that consist of plastic and metal parts and that require electro-mechanical assemblies.
The EMS division includes surface mount technology capabilities using state-of-the-art facilities with scalable manufacturing flexibility to manufacture printed circuit boards and complete box build assemblies.
EW also has manufacturing facilities in China and India.
