The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is slated to hold two public workshops June 9-11 on computer methods for cardiovascular devices, according to The Federal Register.
One meeting will take place June 10-11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hilton Washington D.C./Rockville Executive Meeting Center, Rockville, Md., and is titled “FDA/NHLBI/NSF Workshop on Computer Methods for Cardiovascular Devices: The Integration of Nonclinical and Clinical Models.” It will be preceded by a smaller, optional session on microstructure modeling June 9 from 1 to 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of the workshops is to facilitate discussion between the FDA and other interested parties on the use of computational modeling in the
design, development, and evaluation of cardiovascular medical devices.
