Electronics manufacturer Flextronics International Ltd. said Monday it has completed its acquisition of Avail Medical Products Inc., a privately held maker of disposable medical devices.
The companies did not disclose the terms of the deal, which was first announced in August.
Avail will become a division of the Flextronics' medical segment. With the Avail purchase, Flextronics Medical is expected to generate revenue of $850 million to $950 million in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2009.
Avail's product range includes medical tubes and drug delivery devices.
Singapore-based Flextronics offers manufacturing services for Dell, Cisco Systems, Eastman Kodak and many other electronics companies. It makes components for computers, consumer electronics, medical instruments and many other devices.
Flextronics shares were flat at $9.77 in morning trading.
