SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/07/2006 -- Cell Bio-Systems, Inc. (OTC: CBSI) a developer of medical devices and patented technologies for the plastic, cosmetic, orthopedic, and living tissue markets, today announced it has ramped up production of its Johnnie Lok accessory, another tool in its series of accessories for disposable cannulas. Co-branded by Cell Bio-Systems with Tulip Medical Instrumentation, the Johnnie Lok is the key to the Tulip Syringe System. Used in combination with a full system of cannulas and other accessories, the Johnnie Lok is used to lock and hold the plunger of the syringe under vacuum and provides volume control for precision extraction (60cc, 35cc and 10cc). This marks the first time the Johnnie Lok is being used in a disposable instrument. According to Darin Andersen, president of CBSI, the production of the accessory has moved ahead of schedule to be ready in time for packaging with the company's disposable cannulas when they receive FDA clearance. Andersen said, "We expect to be able to ship the Johhnie Lok with our first batch of instruments in the second quarter of 2006. Everything appears to be going according to schedule and we are eager to get product out there to meet the demand we expect to see."
