Siemens Healthineers Rolls Out CLINITEST COVID Rapid Self-Tests in U.S.

Siemens was chosen on January 24 as a test supplier to support the U.S. government’s shipping efforts.

Siemens Healthineers announced its CLINITEST rapid COVID-19 antigen self-test is now available in the U.S. Configured with five tests per box, the test uses a nasal swab to provide COVID-19 test results in 15 minutes. Self-testing is approved for those aged 14 and up and adult-collected samples for those ages 2-13.
 
"Siemens Healthineers is bringing millions of rapid COVID-19 antigen tests to the United States to make them available to the American people at a time when the tests are desperately needed," Jennifer Zinn, executive VP and Head of Diagnostics, North America, Siemens Healthineers, told the press. "Since receiving Emergency Use Authorization for the CLINITEST Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Self-Test in December, we’ve worked tirelessly to leverage every pathway to bring the tests to the public as quickly as possible. This is in addition to the tremendous efforts we've successfully undertaken to make these tests widely available in Europe."
 
The firm was chosen on January 24 as a test supplier to support the U.S. government’s test shipping efforts. Siemens committed to making tens of millions of tests available to the federal government over the next two months.
 
The company is also supplying millions more tests for state government programs, nonprofits, and healthcare institutions across the country.
