Value Plastics Introduces New Quick Connect
Fort Collins, Colorado – May, 2011
Value Plastics, manufacturer of plastic tubing connectors, has again responded to customer and market needs by developing an innovative line of new connectors – the MQC Series. The MQC is an affordable push-to-connect solution yielding features that end users, engineers, and designers in any industry will welcome.
End users will benefit from the intuitive design, large ergonomic grips, and audible "click" indicating a secure connection. Due to the MQC’s haptic characteristics, the fitting is extremely easy to handle, even while wearing gloves. Another notable feature of the MQC Series is its wide selection of colors. End users will appreciate the potential for unique color-coding, a connection verification technique utilized in a number of applications. In acknowledgement of the medical industry’s developing ISO 80369 standard, this luer alternative’s innovative design also helps to reduce the risk of misconnections.
Designers and engineers will be excited to see the availability of multiple nylon resins (including a USP Class VI material), a variety of barb sizes, and a considerable number of color choices that will allow for their own custom-made solutions. The MQC Series is available in white, grey, black, green, blue, red, and purple nylon with barb sizes ranging from 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) to 3/16 inch (4.8 mm). The male connector includes a Buna-N o-ring to ensure a secure seal, and in terms of sterilization techniques, the fittings are both ethylene oxide (EtO) compatible and gamma radiation stable. Tested for up to 1,500 connection cycles, this solution is a solid bet!
Value Plastics, Inc. makes and markets an innovative line of fluid management components designed specifically for flexible tubing. Products designed and manufactured include quick connect fittings, luer fittings, check valves, tube-to-tube fittings, threaded fittings and blood pressure monitoring components. Value Plastics products find global application in demanding healthcare OEM, research and specialty industrial applications.
