Minneapolis, MN - July 14, 2011 -- http://www.testedandproven.com/ -- DDL, leader in medical device and materials testing, is continually expanding its capabilities to better serve its customers and has recently updated their core test list to include new ASTM, ISO and JIS test standards.
"We have seen an increase in awareness on a global level concerning sharps injury protection", Mark Francis, Lab Manager said. In response to this need, DDL recently added ISO 23908, Sharps Injury Protection - Requirements and Test Methods - Sharps protection features for single-use hypodermic needles, introducers for catheters and needles used for blood sampling and ASTM F2878, Standard Test Method for Protective Clothing Material Resistance to Hypodermic Needle Puncture.
The additional JIS standards were added to DDL's core test list in an effort to continue to expand their syringe testing capabilities.
"DDL continually monitors important test standards that might soon affect our customers," Francis said. "We like to be ahead of the curve so we can be a valued resource to our customers by letting them know how standards are changing, what new standards are being released and how it may impact their testing needs."
