Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Acquires Applied Bioprocess ContainersPosted on March 7, 2013 @ 10:19 amFrench company Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics has completed the acquisition of Plymouth, Minn.-based Applied Bioprocess Containers, a supplier of single use containers and fluid transfer systems for the biopharmaceutical industry.
Applied Bioprocess Containers specializes in the design and manufacture of single-use storage vessels, particularly bags, designed for the preparation, collection, storage and transportation of biopharmaceutical liquids, as well as single-use fluid transfer assemblies, including tubing and connectors. According to the company, it has expertise in plastics technology and sterile fluid handling to design and deliver products used from clinical trials to industrial production. Applied Bioprocess Containers focuses on developing highly-customized solutions to meet specific customer requirements. Saint-Gobain’s U.S. headquarters are in Aurora, Ohio. The company offers films, foams, coated fabrics, bearings, seals and fluid systems. |
