Siemens Healthcare is acquiring Penrith Corporation of Plymouth Meeting, Pa., a manufacturer of integrated ultrasound imaging systems, to expand its offering of diagnostic capabilities. The deal is expected to close next month.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With U.S. headquarters in Malvern Pa., Siemens Healthcare supplies medical imaging, laboratory diagnostics, medical information technology and hearing aids to the healthcare sector.
