The complete service provider for analytical and medical OEM devices is starting production at its new location in the People's Republic of China.
The BIT Group has placed the first order for several CNC cutting machines in Kunshan. The production start-up at the new Chinese subsidiary is gradually be-coming more concrete. Last week the contract for the supply of two milling centers and a lathe were concluded with an internationally leading machine manufacturer. The contract was negotiated in Kunshan and has a total value of approx. 500,000 euros. Commissioning is scheduled for mid-2010.
The new location is specially oriented towards the mechanical production of components for the parent company, with the aim of minimizing costs and boosting efficiency in the production of high-quality instrumentation. The technology transfer between the various BIT locations will enable the highest possible quality requirements to be fulfilled.
With the establishing of its subsidiary in China, BIT does not only have the production location in mind, but also the rapidly growing total market for medical technology within the country itself. Therefore BIT has specifically tailored its range of products for the OEMs to ideally suit market prospects in China. The company aims to make use of the existing know-how together with the OEMs so that all parties involved can profit from this growth.
