Selected to lead the new venture are Mr. Hiroshi Mitsumaki and Mr. Hayanami Kudo. Mr. Mitsumaki has more than 30 years of IVD system development and management experience and has served as president and CEO of the personal healthcare venture company at Hitachi Ltd. In addition, Mr. Mitsumaki is experienced in large-scale project management with companies including Boehringer-Mannheim (currently Roche Diagnostics)/Hitachi 911 and Modular Analytics. Mr. Kudo has more than 30 years of IVD service provider and management experience, Most recently, he served as the executive vice president at SRL, Inc., the largest commercial laboratory in Japan.
The Asian IVD market has become the third-largest region in the world, following the North American and European markets, and is viewed as a burgeoning business climate for high-tech IVD companies, according to BIT officials.
