Oscor Inc. has opened a new Technology and Innovation Center in Palm Harbor, Fla. The company’s third facility has more than 50,000 square feet of manufacturing and engineering space.
“The new Technology and Innovation Center incorporates a unique fusion of engineering, product development, testing and complete vertical integration of rapid prototyping capabilities,” said Thomas Osypka, president and CEO. “It is a perfect extension of our high quality manufacturing operations and offers our OEM customers one stop sourcing with all the necessary regulatory certifications.”
In-house capabilities include mold design, mold manufacturing, injection molding,extrusion, braiding, catheter development, swiss machining inclusive of packaging design, cleanroom packaging, sterilization, shelf-life and product testing. Typical product developments include custom introducer sheaths, balloon, EP and diagnostic catheters and custom implantable stimulation leads.
Oscor designs, develops, manufactures and markets a variety of implantable cardiac pacing leads, venous access systems and diagnostic catheters. The company’s products are sold in 35 countries. All of Oscor’s facilities are located in Palm Harbor, Fla.
