Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Supervises assigned operators to perform assembly and subassembly activities to complete assigned production tasks. Skilled in the assembly and subassembly procedures to provide coverage as required to meet production plans.
• Performs electro-mechanical assembly in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Understands GDP, GMP, QSR, ISO regulations and RMS Quality System procedures and ensures that all work is performed and documented according to those requirements.
• Inspects products for defects and conformance to quality standards and applicable SOPs. Participates in performing all required in-process product checks and visual inspections as required. Participates in and ensures that all production tasks performed by the subteam are performed safely and according to written procedures.
• Assists in training of Assemblers and Test Technicians to perform all production tasks to meet production demands.
• Assist Manufacturing/Engineering in repair work.
• Communicates with other assemblers, technicians, manager and other department members as necessary; Maintain safe and clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned to support build plans for the cobas Liat instrument

Desired Skills and Expertise:
Requirements:
• 4 years of instrument assembly related worked, preferably in the medical device industry.
• 5 years’ previous experience in assembly related operations in the medical device industry, with previous supervisory experience
Education:
• High School Diploma, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Associates degree and work-related experience.
