Tivic Health has launched its second generation of Tivic ClearUP.
The new Tivic ClearUP 2.0 has a new chip for power management, enabling faster charging and longer battery life. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved, drug-free technology can reduce sinus pain, pressure, sinus headaches, and congestions due to colds, flu, and allergies.
Based on ClearUP clinical trials, 88% of subjects saw meaningful improvement in congestion symptoms and 74% experienced pain relief on the first use. 82% of subjects preferred ClearUP to other sinus treatments and 10 minutes after treatment, patients reported sinus pain relief.
ClearUP uses gentle microcurrents to treat symptoms of sinus and nasal inflammation, according to the company. The bioelectronic device finds treatment points along the cheek, nose, and brow without mess, pills, or sprays. It fits in the palm of the hand s pot can be brought everywhere the user goes.
Tivic said the use of neuromodulation devices is growing throughout the medical industry, providing a new treatment for patients who don’t respond to existing remedies.
The company signed an agreement with InStep Health in November to introduce its bioelectronic sinus device to more than 2,500 healthcare providers (HCP) and their patients. In September, Tivic forged a non-exclusive distribution agreement with Cardinal Health.
Tivic began recruitment and enrollment for a novel non-invasive bioelectronic approach to vagus nerve stimulation in August.
