Technipaq has acquired two new header bag machines at its Crystal Lake, Ill., facility. As a pioneer in the manufacturing and development of header bags, Technipaq owns and continues to operate one of the first machines developed for manufacturing medical header bags for sterile use.
“We are excited to increase the capacity with such high precision, quality machines,” Technipaq President Brian Rosenburg said.
The machines' addition strengthens Technipaq’s ability to produce quality header bags for North American healthcare systems and customers. With the expansion of Technipaq’s machine operations, the organization now has the capability to produce twice as many header bags as before.
To make way for these new machines, Technipaq recently expanded its manufacturing cell at the Lutter Drive facility in Crystal Lake by more than 3,600 square feet.
Technipaq has produced flexible, sterilized packaging solutions for the healthcare industry for more than 35 years. Based in Crystal Lake, Ill., Technipaq is an ISO 13485 certified manufacturer, using more than 100,000 square feet of production and warehousing facilities and employing more than 180 individuals in Illinois. As an authorized converter of DuPont Tyvek for medical device packaging, Technipaq produces custom laminations of all designs and run sizes, serving over 90% of medical OEMs in North America.
