Biocoat, a specialty manufacturer of hydrophilic coatings and coating equipment for medical devices, has acquired Chempilots, a European provider of specialty polymers and production services for the medical device industry.
The deal grows Biocoat’s biomaterial platform with a portfolio of customized biomaterial solutions. Joining Biocoat will allow Chempilots to advance their polymer development programs and offer access to additional markets.
Chempilots, located in Copenhagen, Denmark, supplies specialty polymers and has a special focus on polymerization techniques to enable development, scaling, and manufacturing of biomaterials like hydrogels for various medical device applications.
