Butterfly Network, a digital health company that created Butterfly iQ+, the first ever handheld, whole-body ultrasound scanner, has announced the company has reached a mutual agreement with Todd Fruchterman, MD, Ph.D., that he will leave his position of president, CEO, and member of the board. He will partner with Butterfly’s leadership team through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
“On behalf of the Board I want to thank Todd for his vision, passion and dedication to Butterfly during his tenure,” Jonathan Rothberg, founder and chairman of Butterfly Network told the press. “Todd has built a highly capable leadership team, who will function in the interim to ensure continuity while we conduct a search for a new chief executive who will continue the company’s growth.”
Dr. Rothberg will be the company’s interim CEO during the search for a permanent replacement.
