BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) appointed Owens & Minor executive VP and chief human resources officer Shana Neal as its new people officer, replacing departing Betty Larson. Neal held HR leadership roles at BD from 2005 to 2018, and will rejoin the company April 4.
"Shana's highly regarded work and demonstrated leadership across a range of HR capabilities, coupled with her deep, first-hand knowledge of our industry and BD's talent, HR capabilities and culture, make her the ideal person to lead this function into the future," BD president Tom Polen told the press. "I'm proud to welcome Shana back to BD as our new chief people officer, which is a key role to empower our teams to deliver on our purpose as we advance our BD 2025 strategy and create value for all of our stakeholders."
As BD Life Science’s previous senior VP of human resources, Neal led organization and talent integration for the firm’s acquisitions of C.R. Bard and CareFusion. Before that she led HR for BD’s Worldwide Specimen Management, Worldwide Diagnostic System, Diabetes Care, and Medical Delivery Solutions businesses during her tenure.
