Caldera Medical has grown its stress urinary incontinence product line.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration cleared the company's Desara TVez, a device featuring a tighter trocar curve to closely contour the pubic bone, enclosed dilator tips to facilitate smoother tissue passage, and an EZ tab for simple removal. Desara TVez is available in two trocar diameters: 2.7mm and 3 mm.
“Caldera Medical collaborated with dozens of surgeons to bring enhanced ease of use and patient safety to life in the form of Desara TVez,” Caldera Medical CEO Bryon Merade said.
“To safely and effectively treat patients surgically with stress urinary incontinence, physicians require tools and implants that enhance control and simplify the procedure,” said Robert Harris, M.D., a urogynecologist from Jackson, Miss. “In my opinion, Desara TVez’s design accomplishes both. As an advisor during the development process of Desara TVez, I saw first-hand how Caldera Medical’s dedication to improving products through physician engagement advances the care of women with stress urinary incontinence and other pelvic health disorders.”
Caldera Medical has been named by INC 5000 as one of the fastest growing private companies for three consecutive years.
