TriMedika, a medical technology manufacturer providing clinical devices for hospitals worldwide, is showcasing its game-changing thermometer, designed to prevent cross-infection in hospitals, at MEDICA 2021, the world's largest medical trade fair.
Founded in 2016, TriMedika manufactures the most accurate clinical devices for hospitals worldwide. Inspired by first-hand experience of the challenges of healthcare and applying fresh thinking to solve simple but critical everyday issues, the company’s vision is to improve patient care globally with technology that safeguards patients and carers.
The company’s flagship product TRITEMP, a medically graded professional non-contact thermometer—CE marked and manufactured in Europe—is a precision engineered tool designed to positively impact patient care and control infection across healthcare globally. While there was a clear need for the product before the pandemic, the COVID-19 crisis has further highlighted the infection risks associated with contact.
Chief Operating Officer Julie Brien commented, “There have been very few developments within the thermometry industry for many years. So, we set about designing a non-contact infrared thermometer, accurate and robust enough to stand up to use in busy hospital wards. The benefits in terms of infection control and improved patient comfort are significant.”
Today, TriMedika supplies to hospitals in 21 countries through its distribution partners. The company also has exciting plans to enter the U.S. market in 2022.
The company continues to grow from strength to strength, with a recent invitation to Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister as part of the London Innovation Showcase. TriMedika is shortlisted for Disruptor of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2021. CEO Dr Roisin Molloy is also in the running for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
CEO Dr. Roisin Molloy said, “We look forward to joining the ABHI U.K. Pavilion at MEDICA this year, where we will be showcasing our device. As we look to expand our offering to the US and beyond, we’re keen to speak to interested partners.”
TRITEMP is the thermometer of choice for hospitals, many of which are now mandating non-contact for all clinical wards to advance their infection control strategies, reduce costs and improve patient outcomes from the outset.
More than 1,000 hospitals globally, including specialist units such as neonatal wards and ICUs, have switched to TRITEMP. By introducing TRITEMP, hospitals can confidently gain many benefits across staffing, workflows and costs.
Paul Benton, managing director, International, at ABHI added: “We’re excited that TriMedika have chosen to showcase their innovative solution on the ABHI Pavilion, where they’ll be joined by some of the most exciting and forward-thinking UK companies across the medical world. We look forward to welcoming them.”
MEDICA is taking place through Nov. 18 in Düsseldorf, Germany. TriMedika is located in the ABHI U.K. Pavilion - Hall 16/H42.
