Burkert USA Corporation has acquired Stedham Electronics.
“As a market-leading complete system solution provider, the acquisition of Stedham Electronics expands the Burkert portfolio offering to include new capacitance liquid level measurement sensors and transmitters, and remote sensing modules that Stedham manufactures. This collaboration allows Stedham to utilize the expanded global resources and capabilities of the Burkert Group, while continuing to deliver best-in-class products and services,” shared Jeff Baker, vice president Sales & Marketing, Burkert USA Corp.
“The acquisition of Stedham Electronics also furthers our total growth strategy and will enable us to provide a consolidated and even more reliable supply chain solution for customers of both product lines,” added Baker.
A family-owned private corporation, the Burkert USA Corporation parent company, Christian Bürkert GmbH & Co. KG, was founded in 1946. In 1984, Burkert’s first USA based location was opened just a few miles from the John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. The continued growth of the US organization led to the creation of a 173,000 square-foot building complex on a 98-acre campus in Huntersville, North Carolina opened in April of 2017, ushering in new system building and manufacturing capabilities in the United States to keep up with the increased market demand for Burkert solutions.
Since its foundation in 1995 by David Stedham, Stedham Electronics has concentrated on providing private labeled capacitive proximity sensors, its own brand of standard sensors, ultrasonic sensors and numerous custom solutions. In the early fall of 2021, Stedham Electronics begins a new chapter in this legacy with the company acquisition by Burkert USA Corporation of Huntersville, North Carolina.
“We are pleased to continue the legacy of providing superior technological solutions in the measurement and control to our customer partners in the USA and look forward to continuing this advancement in the world of automation with the addition of Stedham Electronics as part of the Burkert USA Corporation,” stated Burkert USA.
