Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed)04.10.17
The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), announced a partnership with the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA) to jointly promote The MedTech Conference, formerly AdvaMed 2017. The MedTech Conference will be held September 25-27 in San Jose, Calif. After record-setting attendance last year in Minneapolis, Minn., AdvaMed hopes to continue the event’s growth by partnering with MDMA to ensure the event reaches all medical technology industry leaders regardless of association membership.
“The MedTech Conference draws leaders from the medical technology and digital health industries, and we expect that this partnership will ensure an even wider attendee base,” said Scott Whitaker, president and CEO of AdvaMed. "Partnering with the Medical Device Manufactures Association will allow us to continue to expand our conference and make it an even better opportunity to network, learn and drive business goals year after year.”
After hosting the association’s inaugural digital event, The Digital MedTech Conference, in San Francisco this past March, The MedTech Conference will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif. This year’s conference will highlight the role of Silicon Valley in medical technology as the home of numerous digital health start-ups, investment firms and non-traditional healthcare players, and also hopes to draw international attendance from Asia given the west coast location of this year’s conference.
“MDMA is excited to support The MedTech Conference 2017, which will be a great opportunity to bring together medical technology leaders from across the country and the world to discuss key issues impacting our industry. MDMA is also pleased to announce special registration rates for our members,” said Mark Leahey, president and CEO of MDMA.
MDMA members will now benefit from discounted registration rates at the conference, and members will be invited to participate in The MedTech Conference in other ways such as committee involvement, special events, and more.
The MedTech Conference will bring together more than 1,000 companies to collaborate in business development, capital formation, innovative technology showcasing, world-class educational opportunities and networking. Highlights include CEOs Unplugged sessions, a MedTech Innovator Showcase featuring earlystage company presentations, 35+ educational panel sessions, networking receptions, online partnering via MedTech Connect, a heavily-trafficked exhibit hall, and more.
