Freudenberg Medical, a global developer and manufacturer of medical devices, components, and minimally invasive solutions for the medical device industry, has expanded its in-house tooling capabilities at its thermoplastic manufacturing lead center in Baldwin Park, Calif. Freudenberg Medical has acquired six specialized tooling machines. The close to half a million dollar investment has expanded tooling capabilities to include a CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, and Sinker EDM machine.
“These new machines enable us to decrease repair lead times, and ensure that our customer’s molds are running at peak performance,” said Gumaro Rodriguez, mold maintenance supervisor at Freudenberg Medical in Baldwin Park. Rodriguez has more than 25 years of industry experience as a tool maker.
Freudenberg Medical’s Baldwin Park Operation manufactures and assembles medical components as well as finished devices working primarily with thermoplastic material. Value added services include metrology and validation, scientific molding and D.O.E capabilities, and a dedicated rapid prototyping workcell.
